Supplier and utility are different questions on the same bill.

A utility may handle delivery, meters, infrastructure, and outage response while supply language covers a different part of the account. Exact roles vary by state, utility, commodity, and customer class.

Utility questions

  • Who is named for delivery or distribution?
  • Which account and service address are shown?
  • Where should outage or emergency questions go according to current utility materials?

Supply questions

  • Does the bill show default service or another supply name?
  • What term, fee, renewal, and rate-type language appears in current documents?
  • What source date and customer class apply?

Do not infer the next action

A utility name, ZIP match, or supplier name does not prove premise eligibility, current availability, or enrollment authority. Confirm the account and current source before deciding.
