Find current supplier wording before asking what can change.

Start with the supply or generation section of a current bill and any current contract or renewal notice. A name on a historical page is not current account evidence.

Check the supply section

  • Look for supplier, generation, supply, or default-service wording.
  • Record the document date and service period.
  • Keep contract term, fees, renewal language, and account class with the record.

Use current documents

If the bill and contract disagree, pause. Ask the utility or authorized review channel to clarify current account context. Do not infer a supplier relationship from a ZIP or old rate table.
